Hey there!
So, I've decided to make this blog about the next 3 years of life and beyond. Let's see what happens and how things grow.
I'm a craze of Musical Theatre and I train in it at University.
The last 15 months, Have been crazy!! I have been on a crash course in Musical Theatre. I never looked to be studying Musical Theatre. Then things suddenly changed and I started looking more into it and really enjoyed Musical Theatre and found out I had the knack for it. I've already worked with professionals off the West End from the likes of Legally Blonde, Hairspray, Wicked, Tommy, Boogie Nights - just to name a few shows. It is a small industry.
My goal is to obviously be on the West End.
I want to write about the good times, bad times, sad times and hard times.
Hopefully this blog will inspire up coming Musical Theatre heads as well as show the hard work and input you really need which then leads to the moment when you feel to yourself 'That was so worth it all'
I've been told that if I want to get into the industry I should have no social life for the next 5 years. 3 years of Uni and two years after. If that's to do with auditioning or working on my first shows to make a name for myself. I'm up for it and I'm going for my challenge.
Being at University I have a little bit of a social life but I still make plenty of time to do my work. I know geek alert but I'm so serious about being in the world of Musical Theatre I'm willing to work my bum off now and all through my career.
I've currently on my first major vacation from Uni - Christmas Vacation/Holiday -
Since September I have been super busy with Uni work and meshing with people on my course.
I've never been with so many talented people in my life and I was expecting that. This has made me up my game and I know at this point in my training I'm not going to be perfect and people will be better than me but I haven't been/let anyone's talent threaten me.
I personally think you should never change as you could make a name for yourself which won't be a very nice and it won't matter how talented you are. Be a bitch in the industry and you won't get work as people won't want to work with you and believe me people talk. I know!
Well I hope you like my Musical Theatre blog and I hope you will grow with me along the road and that this blog is helpful in the future with your career
Rain x
